On the nose, Florian Lauer’s 2020 Feils GG Fass 13 is his clearest and finest grand cru today, and it reveals a delicate slate and Riesling bouquet that indicates perfectly ripe and intense fruit. Lush and round on the palate, this is a mouth-filling, dense, round and crystalline Feilser with stimulating salinity and grippy tension. A classic at a top level. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2021.
