This sweeps across the palate with a mind-bending near-Pinot-like display of soothingly soft and supple textures, pure wild berry fruits and mineral tones supported by brisk acidity. It's structured yet not tannic; instead, this presents a classically dry sensation and staining length while maintaining amazing energy and youthful poise. Tabarrini has been hard at work softening Sagrantino's aggressive tannins, and after tasting this beauty, I'd say that he's succeeded.
