The 2016 Grande Vadio is a Baga aged for 18 months in used French oak (with 20% used American). It comes in at just 12.96% alcohol. As nice as the regular Vadio Baga is, this shows you why you trade up. It adds power but also some depth. It fills the mouth more completely and lingers on the finish. It is classic Baga but held in at least a little restraint and given some polish. This is a fine follow-up to the 2015, the last I saw. It will be interesting to compare as they both go along their journeys. They should last 20+ years.
