El Destilado Tepextate is made by master distiller Sergio Juarez in San Augustin Amatengo, Oaxaca. This is a 20 year-old, wild agave that spends three days in an earthen pit, cooked with encino , mesquite and Huamuchil wood, mashed by hand with axes and mallets, fermented in cement tanks and distilled in a single 310L copper still.
