This vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon from Neal Family shows intense aromas of blackberry and red cherry fruit, spice and baked sugar tempered by a subtle amount of new French oak. Being 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from small berry vineyards, it is very dark in color and has a moderately high amount of velvety tannins, creating a firm, complex mouthful of flavors. The cherry and berry fruit flavors mimic the aromas and create a sense of sweetness, although there is no residual sugar. The youthful tannin along with nutmeg and other baking spices linger in a long, pleasant finish. Great for cellaring or drinking after a short decant.
