Piedrasassi's Syrah Santa Ynez Valley Sebastiano Vineyard offers up a classic bouquet of grilled meat, singed plum and cracked pepper. On the palate, it's full-bodied, supple and richly tannic, with a crunchy core of fruit, bright acids and a long, chalky finish. This classical, Northern Rhône-styled Syrah will need a few years in the cellar and should be interesting to follow for a decade or more thereafter.
