From the Cicala Cru in Bussia, this is one of three Cru Barolo that is made at Poderi Aldo Conterno. This is completely traditional winemaking - long skin contact during fermentation (30 days), ageing in Slavonian oak 'botti' (large cask) for 28 months. Vine age is roughly 45-50 years old, and are re-planted from time-to-time. This is always a well-balanced and refined Barolo, with great ageing potential. This magnum will age incredibly well.
