Piedmont Mixed Case

The wines and wineries of Piedmont, Italy are some of our favourites. It is one of the most iconic wine regions in the world, and make some of the most beautiful wines, whether they be intense and powerful, or perfumed and delicate, or a mix of all of the above.

These three wineries are also some of the most highly regarded in the region, and make extremely classic wines. We're happy to be able to offer three wines (2 bottles of each) in this mixed pack, for your drinking education and pleasure:

Aldo Conterno Barolo Bussia 2016: The greatest producer of Barolo in the Bussia vineyard in Montforte d'Alba is Aldo Conterno, and this vintage is maybe the best we've ever tasted. Completely working organically, this is a terroir wine and something you can drink (after decanting) or age for years.

Azelia Barolo San Rocco 2016: Azelia celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2020 and this small family winery is one of the top producers that you might not know. But the San Rocco vineyard in Serralunga is from vines 65 years or older, and this shows the beautiful elegance and precision of the eastern part of Barolo.

Vietti Barbera d'Alba Vigna Scarrone 2018: This is Barbera from a top Barolo single vineyard, and Vietti knows Barbera better than almost anyone, as they have Barbera vines in this vineyard that are now more than 100 years old. This is an extremely delicious and complex wine.
