The Jaimee Motley Mixed Case celebrates one of the most dynamic young winemakers we've ever met. Jaimee is a force, and is championing some of the unknown varietals that are growing in California and making wines of incredible balance.
Chenin Blanc 2018: Jaimee Motley's Chenin Blanc is beautiful. The aromatics flow through lanolin, fresh beeswax, and wet slate. There are layers of dandelion flower tea and cara cara orange. The palate is broad and fleshy with a chewy mouthwatering acidity tamed down by a merino wool like texture.
Mondeuse Rose 2019: The aromatics span through watermelon, hibiscus flower, and lemon thyme. It flows over your palate with notes of kiwi, cactus apple, and blood orange. This textural rosé has an elegant attack backed by firm fine tannins and a lengthy finish.
Mondeuse 2018: This wine taps into the vast nuance of sensorial experience. Aromatics include crushed violet, pink peppercorn, rhubarb, and blackberry. As fresh as this wine is, there is a sublime earthy note of autumn leaves and petrichor. To me, Mondeuse is the feminine version of Syrah. The palate is juicy and upfront with fine tannins and generous acidity. The expansive layers of this wine evolve the longer the bottle is open.
