Vadio Tinto is made from 100% Baga (if you haven't heard of it, don't worry - most people haven't). aged for 24 months in a mixture of used French (90%) and American barriques. It comes in at 13% alcohol. The best baga-based wines, often but not always blended with other varieties, are redolent of berries and plums, with overtones of tobacco, herbs and dark-roast coffee. This is a fine version of high quality Baga, a bit understated but fresh, lively and smooth on the palate. The finish has spice and modest tannic pop.
