Aldo Conterno's Barolo Colonnello is perhaps the brawniest of the three Crus. Meaty and spicy with strawberry and cherry flavours. This is full-bodied, with firm tannins, solid structure and incredible length. This will definitely benefit from mid-term ageing, or some hours in a decanter if you can't wait to try it.
