Aldo Conterno's Barolo Romirasco is one of the icon wines of Barolo (as are the other two Crus). Similar to the Barolo Cicala and Colonnello, Romirasco is very traditional, with long skin contact, 30 months of age in old Slavonian oak, and the vine age is 50-55 years. It's very earthy, with a ton of red fruit and leathery notes. This will also benefit from mid-term ageing, and Aldo Conterno's Baroli (Barolo plural) can age well for 50+ years if you want to.
