This is a terrific wine that performs with grace, elegance and lengthy endurance. The 2013 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva stands out in my mind as one of the most enjoyable riservas I have tasted from this classic vintage. The aromas are balanced and neatly tucked in. The effect it seamless and smooth with a virtual continuum of wild berry, rose, spice and autumnal aromas. Nothing is out of place and the wine feels glossy and polished in terms of mouthfeel.
